The most basic game is one reel and one row, although you can choose to play with two or four rows at an additional cost, with the potential winnings also being higher. Selecting the number of reels
The base game comes with one reel at a cost of one times your stake. If you play with two reels, it costs four times your base stake, and playing with four reels will cost you 16 times your base stake.
The potential winnings also increase depending on the number of reels chosen. With one reel, the maximum payout is 10,000x your base stake. With two reels this increases to 20,000x and, with four reels, you can win the maximum amount of 40,000x your base stake.
It’s Alive
The ‘It’s Alive’ Free Spins are activated when a heart appears on the reels. As you might expect, this is in the form of a removed human heart, not a love heart! When this lands, you’ll receive 10 Free Spins and a smattering of blood on the screen!
Devour Spins
The ‘Devour Spins’ can only be activated if you are already playing the It’s Alive Free Spins. If you land an additional heart during the initial Free Spins—in this case it is golden—you receive an additional five Free Spins and any multipliers stick for all future Free Spins. They are displayed in the monster’s mouth, and will only be replaced if you land a higher multiplier than the one already locked in. These multipliers pay out on any future Free Spins in that round, as well as any new ones landed.
Linked Wins
When playing with two or four reels, the reels are linked when you land a multiplier. That multiplier then copies to all subsequent spaces, unless there is a higher multiplier already in that space. If you are playing with two reels, the multiplier will only be duplicated it if lands on the first reel. If you are playing with four reels, the multiplier transfers to all subsequent reels, with the top left space being the first space, the bottom left being the second space, the top right being the third space, and the bottom right being the fourth space.
Nolimit Booster
This is where you increase the amount of reels on each spin to two or four. Two reels will cost 4x your base stake, whilst playing with four reels will cosy 16x your base stake. These can be activated in the ‘Bonus Buys’ section or underneath the playing area.
Bonus Buys
There is a myriad of different Bonus Buy options you can select for various multiples of your bet stake. They give you the potential to achieve the big wins sooner, but are not for the faint hearted, as the cost to buy them can be significant. That’s the gamble! Atmosphere of the Munchies slot game
The screen is dominated by a crazed looking creature with sharp teeth and claws. His mouth is filled with a board showing the maximum win multiplier for that spin, which depends on the number of reels you choose. When in the Devour Spins Bonus, the mouth becomes filled with the locked multipliers. The reels spin within the creature’s opened stomach, with his skeleton visible on an x-ray screen in the background.
The haunting music is in keeping with the game, as are the growls from the creature every time there is a payout. During the Free Spin rounds, his eyes open, bulge and become green in colour. If you achieve a big win, the screen darkens as the creature counts your winnings whilst simultaneously chomping on the skeletal remains contained in a big pile in front of him.
